How to write games for mobile devices?
Suddenly I wanted to write my own game. There are two ideas - 2D and 3D. iOS is the priority, but Android, I think, would be foolish to refuse. There is no Mac, but if it presses, it will be possible to take a Mac Mini on Avito. The main question is what are simple games written on, and does it make sense to use Unity? Minor - do cross-platform frameworks greatly affect the performance of the final game?
Here are games similar to what you want to do.

Take Unity, for beginner developers it is now the friendliest engine with good documentation and a lot of tutorials. The performance is primarily affected by the curvature of the developer's hands, the engine itself does not give a tangible overhead, especially for 2D, and for 3D there is now a Lightweight Render Pipeline . Another thing is that earlier the unit had a problem with the build size for mobile phones, but now they have practically solved it, the engine takes only 12 megabytes.
