How to write from DropList to DB Yii2?

There is a drop down list

$form->field($model, 'role')->dropDownList([0 => 'Москва', 1 =>'Орёл'])->label('Город');

I pass it to the model and write it to the database . But an error pops up: $_POST:
$user->role = $this->role;

probably load via load() and didn't specify the rules for rule?
