How to write application documentation?

Help put everything on the shelves, what is fspec, uses case, uses story, what is the documentation for the application in general, it has to do with unit tests.
There is a test application To Do List on the node and we need to write documentation for it. But I don't know how.
You can send materials or an example project on github ..
