How to work with Dropbox?

Please tell me what will happen to the files you are working on when you run out of space on your Dropbox? In theory, nothing will happen? They will be saved to your computer, but just not uploaded to Dropbox? And in general, can files from Dropbox disappear or be blocked? Should I be worried about files disappearing?
