How to wake up a permanently "asleep" monitor?

5 minutes of inactivity, and the screen goes dark forever, only rebooting the system helps. Before that, the screen resolution itself was reset 2 times to 1024x768. Previously, it was normal to get out of the lock with the movement of the mouse.
The problem appeared after installing JetBrains Toolbox and IntelliJ IDEA (Perhaps this is a coincidence).
ubuntu 20.04, installed ~3 months ago, problem appeared today.

Most likely a coincidence.
A crappy video driver can give such a problem. Try installing proprietary if you have freeware and upgrade if proprietary.

turn the suspend options in the bios and add the noacpi option to the kernel in the bootloader (it is quite possible that it is already without it)
By default, the bios usually knows how to put the monitor to sleep (this is adjustable by settings) but as soon as the operating system takes control, this behavior is changed by the drivers, and if they are buggy or not working, this is the behavior
