How to "virtualize" home infrastructure?

Hello!

At home there is an old desktop computer and an old laptop. Both work under Win XP.
They are still used because of the software and files installed on them (1C, contracts, files, etc.).
Plus, they need Internet access (client-bank).

Is there a good way to convert them to system images and then run them in a virtual machine on one powerful machine?
What software is better to use and what pitfalls can be here?
