through the terminal, you can call programs directly (indicating a relative or full path) or briefly (indicating only the name of the program itself). In the second case, the program (executable file) or a link to it must be in the folders specified in the PATH variable. To look at all available programs from PATH at once, you can do this (for bash): p.s. And if you need a specific program from the installed package, then look where and what files it unpacks after installation (using your package manager)

press tab twice (the tab key on the keyboard)
Linux shell (most at least) on an empty command line will display a list of available console commands.
you can type the first letter of the command, press tab and they will be completed to the full command. if this does not happen, then press tab 2 times, a list of commands starting with these letters will be displayed.
