How to view recent activity in Ubuntu?

How to view recent activity in Ubuntu? For reasons unknown to me, access to all services was lost. I can't even connect via SSH. Ports were closed I so understood. Before that, I turned off the VServer service in the ISPConfig settings (since I don’t use it), updated ISPConfig to the dev version via SVN. Rebooted and lost access. What could be the problem?

You do not need to watch the last actions, but what exactly happened to understand.
Check iptables:
Check if the ssh daemon is listening at all:
View logs.

You can see the latest actions if you connect to the box via SSH. How else do you want to see the logs without having access? Does the hosting provider that gave you the VPSku have a control panel? Digital Ocean, Hetzner, Amazon AWS have the ability to connect to the box from the control panel, reset the password. Should be with other hosts too.
