How to view multiple RTSP streams on Linux?
The task seems to be simple: there are 6 cameras with an RTSP stream, you need to display a PC running Lubuntu, VLC plays RTSP perfectly, but it can’t show 6 cameras normally in one window, maybe there is some kind of software for this?

You can collect these streams in the so-called. mosaic, i.e. to mold the original sources into one stream.
As described here https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/Create%20a%20mosaic%2...
There are more sophisticated methods, such as collecting all threads on the client, as implemented here .
It can be convenient if the client PC is normal, it has a browser and no other applications can be installed. Or there are many operators and they are in different networks. Well, or when the cameras in the mosaic need to be changed in the gue.
And yes, the load on the server in this version is less.
