How to view and listen to .jpg + .ogg pairs sequentially in VLC media player?

The picture is displayed, the voice acting is on, then the next pair, etc. No final render, just one-by-one viewing of images with listening. Is it possible to implement this in VLC media player? I know that this can be implemented in Media Player Classic, but there is an inconvenient playlist.
