How to use the term "program functionality"?

There was a misunderstanding with the authorities about the term "functional". Searching through open dictionaries, I really did not find this word in the context of software. On the other hand, "program capabilities" or "program algorithm" do not convey all the drama of the "program functionality", and in Habré this is one of the most frequent words. How does the community feel about the correct use of this term?

Functional is a mathematical term. It twitches me when it is used inappropriately. Functionality is the right word.
