To get started, request documentation from ATOL. Because power can only be supplied to the scanner at the time of scanning, and for this you need to turn to a special driver or even to the GPIO. Then there are several options for receiving data from these scanners - both via rs232 and USB-HID - and it is not clear which one they chose.
