How to use raid 0 without data loss?

The essence of RAID 1 is backups, but this is too much space and financial costs for 50+ TB volumes.
Here is the guide in which I read

If you want to use RAID 0 purely to combine the storage capacity of twee drives in a single volume, consider mounting one drive in the folder path of the other drive. This is supported in Linux

But how to do this is not clear.

And does it make sense to do this, because as I understand it is a crutch, perhaps it is worth disabling mirroring in RAID1? But then it loses its meaning, right?

The essence of RAID 1 in backups

The essence of RAID 1 is data mirroring, if one disk fails, the data remains on the second one, you can replace the disk, synchronize the array and continue to work quietly. It does not replace backups in any way, no one guarantees you that the data will not die during synchronization, or both disks will not fail
