How to use Lenovo Explorer in Unity?

Hello. Some time ago I tried to get this package to work in Unity 2018.2.6 (at that time there was no sign that version 2018.3 was needed). The positioning system worked fine, but I did not understand how to work with the controllers. Most of the examples in the package didn't work either.
Faced the following problems:

  • It is not clear how to intercept keystrokes
  • The model, set as a virtual hand (tested on an elongated cube), is rather crooked and its rotation does not correspond to reality, while the original prefabs for displaying controllers in virtual space work great

Who can tell how to solve these problems? The official documentation is outdated and there is nothing about it.
Or, as an option, can anyone suggest an alternative to this package?

I thought to make a comment, but still ..
in 2018.3, the intput in VR is more or less unified.
https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/xr_input.html
and there further separately for OpenVR and WVR
and about the second point - honestly too lazy to download and install just to see what's on the prefab hands hung such that you forgot to hang on the cube .
as an option, simply put the desired thing under your arm, turning off the extra render of the original prefab.
