How to use jQuery and jQuery UI in Angular 2?

Greetings!
Dear Angular 2 experts, tell me how to connect jQuery and jQuery UI to an angular project!
There was a task to use a slider (range type). I have been working on jQuery for a long time and used jQuery UI Slider. Basically, I'm happy with them. How to wind it up in your Angular project? And is it worth it? Just heard that it's preferable not to use jQuery in Angular. The default input[type=range] is badly styled.

What if you try something else, like ng2-slider-component?
