How to use haml.js on the client side?

It's about this lib. Can it be used for templating in any javascript client application? Apparently, it was originally written for a different environment, because. there is no require function in standard js, which is ubiquitous in tests, so I'm at a loss.

Perhaps there are bicycles that allow you to connect it in the form that is required (functionality similar to EJS, only for haml templates)?
