How to use a native php extension to protect your php developments?

As I understand it, at the output we will get a class / function that can be called in the code, which will check something and return some value. But what prevents the user from creating a function / class with the same name, simulating a check and returning the same as the function returns from the extension?

This is done quite differently.
Just update your product regularly and no paying potential customer will steal it. This is a binding support.
There is a second way, which is very popular now: SaaS. Host the project yourself, offering the client a service, not files.
And extensions are designed for other tasks. Not suitable for the above: you have no idea how much you will complicate the life of those who pay. At the same time, those who do not pay will be hacked and will use without it. As a result, this will encourage you to use the hacked version, and not buy it.

Do not be offended, but as a client, I would send such an office with protection to yuh if your product required the installation of an additional module for php. But I don’t know the specifics of your work, maybe it’s justified :)
