How to upload third-party files to a folder with access rights 777 on a web server?

The essence of the question is that I have a server and files have been uploaded to a folder with access rights 777 (any shit) The site is made on cms opencart v1.5. So I would like to know in detail how all this happens point by point: 1) so-and-so, 2) so-and-so, etc. , i.e. in order to know how to protect yourself from this you need to know how it happens!

I understand correctly that the question is how to prevent anyone who is not too lazy to upload files to a folder with rights 777?
answer:
1. set other rights
2. prohibit uploading to this folder ... it's not very clear how they upload it, but in general, prohibit this demon from working with the folder.
3. most likely you mean that you are constantly flooded with viruses? then this is a completely different question;)
4. Forbid exec
yes, in fact, a million monitor lizards, you clarify the question.
