There is a task - to update data about the goods on the site + images for them.
To update the data, they generated a csv file with information about the goods on the 1c side, which was uploaded to the site server and automatically parsed.
And here's how to deal with images for products. Does the product in 1c have a path to the image? Or is it also necessary to upload the archive with images to the site? But it's not very productive.
How to proceed in this situation?

Depends on configuration 1s. in general, there is no way :)
let them generate pictures with file names = articles in csv in 1s and put them next to the file

Just a zip archive will weigh much less than just files.

All image formats except BMP and RAW are compressed data. Although there is also BMP with compression.
