How to update progress bar when using asyncTask loader?

Can you explain how to update progress bar from asyncTask loader given that there is no update method like in AsincTask. There is an option to use BroadCast Receiver, but I have not found a good example of how it works. There are many examples, but they contain a lot of garbage that interferes with the understanding of the code, I would like a simple example.
