How to update files on heroku from another PC?

The question is, the project is on Heroku, I update the files on the PC, then I update them on the server via git bush.
Soon I will change the PC, I will transfer the folders with files to the USB flash drive, but will I be able / or how can I update them differently from a different / new PC, just like I did before.
It seems to me that if I also copy the folders to the desktop and try to update them, will it give an error or not?
If yes, then how should it be done? (commands or something)
