2. It all depends on the installation method.
any debian/Ubuntu is usually upgraded with
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
+ sudo reboot if the kernel has been upgraded.
if in /etc/apt/ in one of the configs there is a separate repository for newer versions of
Enlightenment, then the update will happen automatically.
