How to update all link fields in a document at once?

Use Case is next. Documentation is being rewritten, in which all captions for pictures are made through "Insert title". References to figures in the text are made through "cross-references".
Accordingly, somewhere old pictures are deleted, somewhere, on the contrary, new ones are added. As a result, the numbering goes. It is treated by updating the fields in each specific place. Example - prntscr.com/8f2ico
I suspect that it is possible to update all the fields at once, so that the numbering of the figures is aligned and cross-references substitute the correct text.
Office 2010 is being used.
