How to update a file in nw.js app?

Hello. I am making an application on nw.js out of quiet sadness, using mainly html, pure js, and connected the node.js - fs module to communicate with the file system. And so here an essence of a problem: I have one json file which in the course of work is updated \overwritten. Before deployment, everything works like clockwork. After the deployment, although the file is overwritten, it restores its original position after the application is restarted. If this file is taken out of the .exe file of the program, then the program does not use this file at all. I apologize if I don’t understand something fundamentally, web technologies are not my main specialty
