How to uninstall MacOSX and install Windows 10?

I have a mac mini, but MacOSX is not convenient for my work. I want to install Windows. I heard that there are different boot camps that allow you to install two OSes at once, but I generally need a second OS. Is it possible to do the following:
1. burn the Windows 10 installation image to a USB flash drive
2. Boot from it and install Windows so that there is nothing left of MacOSX.
Is there any difference in terms of whether it is better to install Windows 7 or Windows 10 in terms of hardware support?
