How to understand what is the problem with deployment?

Hello Toaster!
I launched (or rather tried) the RoR application on the server according to the recent manual on Habré. Everything went without errors in the console, but when you try to go to the address (the domain is not configured, it is by IP:port) it does not show anything. The browser says error 500. This is my first RoR application on a VPS and I don’t know where to start looking for an error at all. Everything works locally. I tried to search for answers in search engines, but they do not give out what I'm looking for. Maybe I'm not looking for it. Where should you start looking for an error? What could she be? I understand that it is impossible to answer without data, but how to get this data?

Show that the logs on the server /log/production.log
, perhaps the database is not configured or something else. Unfortunately, there are no telepaths here, more information is needed.
