How to understand the idea of a web designer?

There are menu items on the layout. But there are different distances between them. The longer the words, the smaller the distance between the words. For example, there are such distances between elements: 77, 67, 51, 119px. The concept is incomprehensible. I think maybe take the smallest spacing, like 50px, have 25px padding for each, and give everyone the same width, considering the longest element. Or ask the designer? But I don't think they like it when you ask a lot of questions and think you're a noob. It's just that there are several blocks with different distances between elements.

Most likely, there is a certain same number of pixels allocated for each item. It's like putting each item in a div with a strict width of 200px. Accordingly, the longer the point, the smaller the distance between it and the neighboring one.

It's not very clear without a screenshot. But, I think it is worth checking with the designer. If the idea - explain, if the jamb - will be corrected or not recognized (then this is a bad designer). If you didn’t understand something, then after his answer it will be clearer and you will gain experience. It's impossible to know everything, it's better to be a noob than to mess up.

Do you think there are no idiots among designers? I myself am a dis, our brother has every second with terminal brain cretinism. And even worthy dizas are very often stupid, because the work is hard and you constantly want to score something. So ask, but politely.
