It all depends on a bunch of parameters. Extreme case home buyer. In this case, a maximum of 1-3 times in a lifetime.
In another case, a pizza buyer, 1-2 times a week.
Build a profile and compare with other buyers. If there is a difference, let's say 2-3 times, then the user has cooled down. Might be worth sending a reminder with a coupon.
And in general, any CRM has such functionality in terms of reports for sure. Trends are built clearly.
