How to understand MOTS?

Hello everyone! The question is not entirely IT-related, but still ... I'm studying
to be a programmer, now a new subject has appeared in the program - MOTS (Mathematical Foundations of Systems Theory). There are no textbooks on this subject at the university, only boring and incomprehensible lectures by the teacher.
Well, maybe someone else has come across something similar. Understandable textbooks, lectures or other materials are needed that explain mathematical models, the meaning of the hodograph, its construction, sketches, etc.
I will be very grateful for your help.

Look for textbooks on the discipline "Theory of Automatic Control" (TAU) - this is the same thing, only for different specialties it is named differently in the curricula.
