How to understand "group decision algorithms in pattern recognition problems"?

They gave a topic for the thesis: "Development of algorithms for group solutions in the problems of pattern recognition" .
I personally understand what pattern recognition is, I have experience in solving various problems using machine learning. But I do not quite understand what "group decision algorithms" mean. Who understands what this is, please tell me how to understand this. I've already tried googling, didn't help much. Not enough information. Or maybe it's just an unfortunate wording of the topic.
