How to understand bareos backup according to the always incremental scheme?
Greetings!
Bareos is used, I want to switch from the usual inc-dif-full not to the Always Incremental backup, because it seems to be really cool.
Faced the problem of misunderstanding why and how the "Consolidate" task works
, namely, what exactly does it unite and how long to store it? (for example, we store incremental ones for 5 days, start daily at 6 pm, then how long to store "Consolidate"?)
Also, the manual does not say anything about what will be in them at all? All incremental backups from all clients and pools, or somehow separately per client, per pool?
What happens if it accidentally coincides with the main backup in time (because the manual says that you need to run it separately)?
Manual doc.bareos.org/master/html/bareos-manual-main-ref... re-read, but did not understand, apparently weak English.
Thank you for your time!
