How to turn on the audio track at the same time at a distance of 600 meters?
there are 2 locations. on every mixer and speakers. the distance between them is about 600 meters.
It is required to run an audio track simultaneously in two locations.
regular internet (3g) is not an option.
I see two options,
1) create a small program that will synchronize two points. time code, according to which the sound engineers will start the audio. for this you need to link 2 devices ... 3g is not an option, it means pulling 600m. twisted pair cable to create a LAN.
2) also pull the wires, but this time - the audio cable (microphone wire). on it already to drive the sound. from the mixer in the first location there are wires to the speakers and to the second mixer 600 meters away. speakers are already output from the second mixer.
Well, you can use a twisted pair cable in a different way. drive audio through it. LAN gigabit or even 100 megabits should output streaming ... and the delay will be less like with an audio cable.
actually questions:
1) how to implement? twisted pair, audio cable? raising lokalka do time code for manual launch or drive streaming? maybe there are other options?
2) what is the delay when using a normal audio wire at 600 meters?
3) what wire to look for?
4) it is unlikely that there are bays for 600 meters, how then would you advise connecting?

Lokalka 600 meters - a bad option. You will have to put switches along the way, or whatever else amplifies the signal. You can try directional wi-fi - it will easily take up to a kilometer.
If you need 100% synchronization, then forget about local broadcasting. Timecode with a periodic hardbit is just right.
If you just need a simultaneous launch without the need for exactly the connection of two devices, then you can connect two GPS / Glonass receivers to computers and get accurate time cuts from them.
What is the actual task? Run "plywood" in 2 points at the same time, with an accuracy of 0.5 seconds?
The system is stationary or mobile - moves from place to place: from one wedding to another corporate party?
Are there people in both locations, or in one?
This, probably, is realized as Serozha writes - a remote control and a receiver for modellers, and 2 players with the same tracks. And if there are people in both places - communication by mobile phone, and 2 players.
1) Lokalka can also be made with optics (converters for single mode).
2) Or you can take an amplifier and a coaxial cable and pump 600 meters
3) If there is a LAN, then drive the signal with a multicast!
4) you can send / receive multicast via gstreamer, for example - https://developer.ridgerun.com/wiki/index.php?titl...
PS. If you have a budget (~ 50k rubles) and don’t want to mess around, write in a personal, I’ll give a link to our devices.
The task is not entirely clear, it’s one thing to synchronize in time or somehow 2 more points to play 1 sound (what ?, is it recorded in advance or should it come from a microphone or something else?), It’s another thing if you need some kind of trigger on the same location reproduce with an error of less than 1 second to another (it is not clear why there is synchronization at all, because the one who is in the second location will not know that the trigger worked on the first and can be played at any time), the third, if the trigger is an external stimulus such as the sound of a firework, in In that case, how are you going to react to it? In general, nothing is clear without specification, even if you read all the comment threads.
600 meters cable is sad... Delay as usual for an analog signal: distance divided by the speed of light. For the figure, add the processing time + ADC + DAC. The problem is that the attenuation will be strong. The radio channel rules here. Depending on the task, this is either a transmitter + receivers, as xmoonlight advises , but the question is where it all happens and for how long (whether the authorities have time to respond or not :)), because such a powerful transmitter without registration and a broadcasting license is prohibited. Or two players, and only turn them on on the radio at the same time (I did this, if anything;))
