the cooler of the laptop makes noise and grinds like hell (the cooler cleans, the thermal paste is smeared)!
Question: how to turn off the cooler? (OS linux mint) and what could be the problem?

Insert a screwdriver into the impeller or disconnect the connector.
The cooler needs to be changed , not turned off.
