How to turn down an employer after an interview?

Invited for an interview.
Although I don’t plan to work in the next month or two, I decided to go, the experience of passing interviews is also necessary. We talked, answered questions, said they would call back in a week.
The HR manager called back earlier, said that my candidacy was approved, next week it will be discussed / approved by the director, and that she will call me back.
I said "Ok, great!", and now I have to get the experience of rejecting an employer.

  • What is the right way to do this, considering that potentially this employer and the vacancy may be interesting in the future (in a month or two)?
  • Is it worth it to continue going to interviews, wasting the employer's time if there are no plans to work for the next month or two?

And so what? "I thought about everything, at the moment, however, your vacancy is not very suitable for me, because it's far away / the salary is not very suitable / the technology stack is not very good / I don't like the location / no dms, etc. in any combination." The main thing is to do everything politely.
And so just mentally set for yourself a certain bar that would encourage you to leave your current place. If suddenly someone jumps over, then why not, but if it doesn’t make it, then you have every moral right to refuse.
In addition, you should never forget that going to an interview is not only about the fact that the company is looking at you, but also that you (!) are looking at the company. And you might not like it either.

And why refuse if the vacancy is interesting?
In my opinion, you should immediately agree and go to work.
Or try to negotiate with them that you sign a contract with them now, but immediately take a vacation for 2 months.

The sooner you call, the better.
Do not interfere with people's work - let them find another as soon as possible.
You will not be beaten.
