How to transfer Windows to a flash drive?

I decided to switch to Windows. On Linux. Father set. I'm tired. I learned that you need to transfer Windows to a USB flash drive. How it's done? that is, just copying the iso file there (on a USB flash drive) is not enough?

Not so long ago already answered a similar question. Since it's usually hard for questioners to google for similar questions (it's easier for them to ask a question again), I quote myself:
There is such a program - unetbootin, it exists for both Linux and Windows. You give her a distribution ISO file with Windows, she opens it to the flash drive you specified, and the job is done. And no tambourine swings are required.

Now everyone will laugh at me, have fun, but:
When I had to install the second Windows system, I first copied the image to a USB flash drive using ddrescue, but - fig. The MBR would not start, and I found out that it turns out that I need to download a whole set of utilities, cut the bootloader, etc. manually, then upload the image to the USB flash drive. In short, I was too lazy to do it, and I did this:
1) Installed Virtualbox
2) Installed Virtualbox extensions
3) launched VB from root, since only USB is forwarded under root
4) I forwarded the USB flash drive to the newly created VM
5) I installed Windows in virtualbox, Fortunately, on an SSD, this is done in 10 minutes
6) I downloaded my favorite Rufus inside the VM
7) With the help of Rufus, I uploaded the image of Windows to a USB flash drive without any problems
8) profit
And if you had to write Linux to a USB flash drive, then this is done with one command:
ddrescue /home/user/linux.iso /dev/sdb
And that's it.
In short, it turned out to be easier and faster for me to do this through the VM than to blunt into programs and download some kind of bootloader installers.
