How to transfer errors from one authorization form to another?

Recently I started to study 1C-Bitrix, I faced such a task.
The site has 2 authorization forms - on a separate page, and in the site header (shown on any page). It is required that in case of erroneous authorization through the component in the site header, a redirect to a page with a separate authorization form occurs, where the error "invalid login or password" would be displayed. Successful authorization requires the user to remain on the same page from which they logged in.
I tried to implement it through CUser::Login, but when it is called, the site crashes with a 502 error.
