How to transfer disk data from laptop to computer?

The point is, I have a laptop. It used to have Windows on the C: drive, but then I needed Linux and installed Ubuntu on the D: drive. Everything is OK, on one disk one OS, on the other - another. But the trouble is, I accidentally deleted some important files (don't ask) and both operating systems stopped loading normally. I wanted to install another Ubuntu on the C: drive, nothing important there anyway, but I couldn't (again, don't ask). There are some files on Ubuntu on drive D: that I would like to transfer either to a flash drive or directly to a computer (I have a computer running Windows 8.1). How can I do it?

TL:DR - How to transfer some files from a half-dead laptop to a flash drive?
