How to track user activity using google analytics?
I'm trying to solve the following problem: you want to track the "activity" of users on the site. By activity we mean the performance of certain actions by the user. For example, a site contains articles, an active user is a user who has read 10 articles. Moreover, after achieving this goal, it is required to continue to ping the analyst about each subsequent ten articles read.
Is it possible to implement this using google analytics?
While I don’t see a solution, it’s not clear how to track whether the goal achievement event has already been sent or not (without storing information on its part).
I'm thinking about making it through custom measurements / metrics. Create dimension - user id, metric - current number of views. Not exactly what is required, I assume that such a solution will allow you to track the dynamics of changes in the indicator (read articles) in the context of the user. Haven't worked with custom metrics/dimensions yet, I could be wrong

And why complicate, create 2 or more audiences:
1. Viewed 10 pages
2. Viewed 20 pages
...
etc.
And that's it, then you connect Ads and Analytics and transfer these audiences to Ads to set up ads.
