How to track a user in yii2?

Ran into a small issue about sessions.
I want to track the actions of one user without authorization. I open session, I look id.
Question:
Do I need to close the session after writing data to the log? You need to constantly have the same session id for one client to write to the database. How long will the client be assigned this id ?
