How to test frontend optimization?

The site has a lot of JS code that needs to be tested and optimized. The fact is that on my computer everything works perfectly and quickly, but on laptops (at least on which I checked) everything is terrible in terms of optimization, the modal window with Ajax loading freezes as much as you can imagine, the animations are not smooth, etc. .

Options that I myself found and which did not fit:
- immediately write the "correct" code
- check on the laptop and then
- virtual machines (tried vmware)

Perhaps someone has come across something similar, and there is some software that could be checked website ?
