How to test bitrix modules?
The module is purchased, it is required to install updates on it. When installing a module on a test copy, it is deactivated on the main site.
Rolling out directly to production is not an option. What to do, how to live like this?
Bitrix does not assume that there are sites that cannot simply update the module from the admin panel? Since there is a chance to break something.

You cannot install purchased modules on test and demo licenses. It is tied to your Bitrix key.
In Bitrix, it is assumed that any update cannot break anything (haha, I’m also laughing at this, but that’s their ideology. They didn’t hear about testing there)
Raise a copy of the site on a local server and test modules there. They are installed without problems.
The second option is to make a backup of the current site, then install the modules, test, and if the results are not satisfactory, roll back to the backup. This can be done without problems during the hours of the least traffic to the site.
