How to test an SSD drive on a laptop?

I have an SSD drive (ADATA Premier Pro SP910 512 GB) that needs to be tested for bad sectors and overall performance. How to connect it to a laptop, as I understand it through a box - which box do you recommend? And also what software is best for this.
