How to test a simple program?

Good evening.
Faced such a problem. You need to test the program (let's say it deletes all .txt files in the directory). Create a test plan and documentation. Must be submitted by the end of the week. I can't read the book anymore. That's why I look on YouTube. Tell me briefly, are there any design standards or can I arrange everything in a text file as a list? If anyone has an example, please post.

Somehow I also performed such a task, there are no specific standards, in many literature there are sections on the test plan, test cases and methods for writing them. Here's where to read:
