How to technically organize the development of an information site?

Good afternoon!
I want to create an information site similar to https://www.adme.ru/ , https://the-challenger.ru/ , bigpicture.ru/.
I myself am a front-end developer, I am not friends with the backend.
I made up sections, and then I realized that the more there are, the more difficult it is to look for something and fix something. In this regard, I decided to clarify the technical points for developing the site:
1) As I understand it, first of all, you need to determine the site engine and select cms (mostly recommend WordPress). And store all the information there.
2) Do you need a database for this project? Suppose to store information about articles, also for quick sorting of information or searching for sections by tags.
3) What service (method) to choose to integrate the site with social networks?
Thanks in advance for your replies and advice!

I myself am a front-end developer, I am not friends with the backend.

I propose to hammer the horse-radish on the idea of this kind then.
Because the maximum you can do is create another shitty site on WordPress with a bunch of buggy virus breeding grounds called plugins.
As a result, you’ll end up doing only cleaning afterwards.
And if suddenly the portal becomes popular, your wordpress will fucking die under load.
Actually, the main idea of the answer is that your judgments are wrong.
If you want to do quality work, learn backing or work in tandem with a normal developer who will make a normal control system, place it on a normal VPS and will normally support and refine it.
1) Yes and no. You need to decide on the engine, but if we are talking about such portals, as indicated in the question, then you need your own development, a framework.
2) The base, of course, is needed. And it doesn't have to be mainstream MySQL.
3) The best feature is the official apish.

@SarDK

Raised several information portals from scratch. Summarizing a bunch of studied information and surveys of people:
1) you can and should use WP to start. It is inexpensive, but it is easy and simple to test the idea. If traffic grows to more than 2 thousand people a day, we start writing our own CMS with the money already earned.
2) The key in information sites is information and the way it is presented, plus the ability of the authors to arrange holivars. It's complicated.
If necessary, drop me an email, I can tell you more about the experience, with links and numbers

@mr_jok

1/ to begin with, decide how your site will differ from garbage portals about everything and think over the information architecture (partitioning, etc.)
2/ how to fill, manage, etc. = choice of CMS
3/ portal without database = unrealistic
4/ social and other "goodies" = extensions in CMS
