How to sync heroku files with github?

Like I have a bot for VK on Node.JS, it saves users to a u.json file, if I just reload the bot, all user data is erased, what should I do, is it possible somehow if the file changes in heroku and is synchronized with github?

The Heroku container filesystem is not designed to store files other than project files. Either external storage / DBMS is used (it can be in the form of add-ons) or another hosting is looked for.
