At 67, it's time to stop being a rag. Be a man and do what you want.
Why should she do it? Engage in instead of a simple hobby of repairing it. This is also an "occupation" with electronics, but at least they pay a little for it.
Although I am not 67, but only 39, 15 years ago I also soldered, assembled, designed, tested something ... It takes a lot of time and effort, and also money. Then he just started repairing equipment, gradually mastering new equipment, which is much easier. But this is work, and it also takes a lot of strength, and it also hurts your eyesight. Therefore, I periodically add and change a little activity - I stop working with pieces of iron, and do software (at my main job), or try some other activity (for example, I got into Yandex.taloka once, and went around photographing buildings, there is very little money they pay, but on the other hand, in the fresh air, it’s still not possible to breathe rosin).
And most importantly - throw her, the damned one, out of the house!!!
To any other room. If you want to study, go there and study there, but so that you can’t sleep and eat there. You need to rest at home, and not hang around with a soldering iron or study circuits at night.
When I realized that I was getting tired of electronics, I took everything to work, fortunately, it came in handy there too, and there was a place. Then circumstances forced me to remove all this from work, and now I took it to a friend who gave me the opportunity to work in his premises. And there is no particular problem - there is time, there is strength, I go and work there, no - I don’t go. At home, even on a computer, there are no accompanying schemes or programs.
