How to study computational linguistics?

Good afternoon. Are there computational linguists among us? If you or someone you know works in this field, please answer the following questions:
1. How much is computational linguistics in demand in Russia and in the world?
2. What knowledge should a candidate have to get a job? (languages, technologies)
3. Has anyone managed to get a job with only a foreign language diploma, or do you still need a diploma in computational linguistics and you need to retrain (according to the vacancies of some top companies in this field, specifically technical education)?
I am most interested in the areas of online education and translation services so that previous experience is not wasted.
If you can share useful links, I will be grateful.

Good afternoon! What do you understand by computational linguistics?
If NLP, then these are mainly statistical methods and machine learning, that is, entirely mathematics and programming.
If you are interested in this area, then you can go through these sets of courses:
https://www.coursera.org/learn/machine-learning - an introduction to machine learning in general
https://www.coursera.org/specializations/aml - deep learning and all sorts of advanced techniques

There may be some advice. Apply for a master's degree in this field at the Higher School of Economics. In the learning process, you can finally decide on the areas of interest and tools.
