Veracrypt - Windows, Mac, Linux. Windows BitLocker is native. Rohos Disk is more convenient, there is a two fact. authentication, but already paid.

I'm for zip with a password, but for the collection I'll add another option - if you don't mind the money, then just for such purposes there are flash drives with hardware encryption.

There is such a thing as flash drives with built-in encryption. They are significantly more expensive than usual and work only under Windows, but you can be more or less confident about your documents

Free of charge and without much hemorrhoids, as strange as an archive with a password.
The second option is to use programs like Veracrypt, but I would not recommend it, in the hands of a beginner and an inexperienced one, you can one day get a brick from a flash drive.
The third option is to use cloud storage that supports two-factor authentication.
