Image sizes 1222*2200 (may vary). Png - 235 kb, jpg - 200 kb. There will be more than 10 million such files. Access to files on demand. How to properly organize the storage of such a volume of information? How to reduce file size?

There is a new promising image compression format FLIF .
Due to its newness, browsers do not yet support this format.
Theoretically, you can repack into it for storage in storage and repack back on the fly on request. In practice, this can be prohibitively slow for the user.
