How to store components in strings (Formatted texts with pictures)?

There are a large number (700) articles containing formatted text (italic, different color, etc.) and pictures. By clicking on the list item, the article should be displayed.
What is the best way to store and restore them? I've been thinking for a couple of days... Best of all in strings, but how back.
